Charges are pending in a deadly shooting near Dora.
The Ozark County sheriff says a man from West Plains is in jail.
He says the shooter called 911 Saturday night, but didn’t know exactly where he was, so it took several hours before authorities could get to the scene and find Devon Massey, 22, dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The sheriff hasn’t discussed a motive, other than to say it happened during a fight.
Investigators are also looking for a person who may have witnessed the shooting, along a county road.
The sheriff says three people, including the shooter and victim, were riding around in a vehicle hours before the incident.
