CU Suspends Services Disconnections Through May

City Utilities (CU) continues to monitor the impact that the COVID-19 (coronavirus) is having on our community and like many others, they are ready to think about getting back to normal routines.

Until that happens, they want customers and the community to know that they’re standing by, ready to respond to your needs and wanting to help.

CU is extending the suspension of disconnection of utilities for non-payment until June 1, 2020.

If you’re experiencing financial difficulty, CU says to contact Customer Service at 417-863-9000 to make payment arrangements and avoid late payment charges.

Additional Updates:

  • The customer lobby located at 301 E. Central will remain closed until further notice. Customers should contact CU at 417-863-9000 or conduct business online at cityutilities.net. Be aware that call volume has increased during this time, please be patient when contacting our Customer Services area.
  • Transit service will continue to operate on modified schedules and routes implemented on March 22. Call 417-863-8702 or visit cutransit.net for additional information.
  • Additional cleaning, disinfecting, and response procedures are in place in all utility groups to help reduce chances of the virus spreading.
  • Fellows and McDaniel Lake areas remain open for recreation and fishing under normal regulations. Please follow social distancing guidelines at these and all locations.
