At a time when first responders on the front line of Missouri’s fight against the coronavirus are facing shortages of personal protective equipment, there’s word that 48,000 KN95 masks are being recalled.
The state’s public safety director, Sandy Karsten, says the masks were sent out in shipments that arrived on April 2nd and April 8th, but some of them were not up to standard.
Agencies are being asked to pull them out of circulation and make sure they don’t get used.
The State Emergency Management Agency will collect the masks.
