La-Z-Boy announced Sunday that it’s closed all of its U.S. manufacturing facilities, effective immidiately.
This includes the La-Z-Boy Midwest Furniture Factory in Neosho, Missouri which employs over 800 people.
The overall total number of employees affected by the furlough is 6,800, nearly 70% of the company’s workforce.
130 of the 155 La-Z-Boy retail stores in the U.S. are temporarily closed and the company says the Regional distribution centers would be closing as soon as in-process orders are delivered.
The Springfield La-Z-Boy warehouse and desk is currently still open and doing their best to keep employees on board.
Customers can call 417-883-3820 for information during business hours and a staff member will answer.
