Citing the coronavirus pandemic, Silver Dollar City says they will be delaying the beginning of their 60th season.

“We’ve been following the coronavirus crisis very closely and based on developments within the last 24 hours, we are going to delay our season opening until March 28,” said Brad Thomas, the President of Silver Dollar City Attractions.

They say they will be watching the conditions in the region, and will consult CDC guidelines.

Silver Dollar  City Campground will continue to operate.

“The campground is individual units, the family will arrive together and stay together,” said Lisa Rau, Silver Dollar City Director of Publicity, “We are increasing the frequency and scope of sanitation, and we have hundreds of hand sanitizers throughout the properties.”

The Showboat Branson Belle will also operate with reduced seating.

“We will be operating with appropriate social distancing, which means we are greatly reducing the capacity of the showboat. Our guests will sit with their parties who they came with,” she added.

“We are following CDC guidelines, and the distance between people or parties is recommended to be at least six feet.”
