The Springfield-Greene County Health Department says community events with more than 250 people should be suspended or postponed for now because of the coronavirus.
Health director Clay Goddard says that does not include workplaces or schools.
We are asking community events expecting 250+ people or more to voluntarily postpone or suspend for the time being. We do not consider workplaces or schools to fit that definition. This is gatherings that are bringing large number of people to one space.

Goddard recommends people suspend their travel plans if possible.
Goddard says testing is not being offered to the general public, but the health department is working with its partners to expand what’s available.
A mobile testing center will open on Monday, but people will be able to use it on a referral basis only.
To better protect our community, a mobile drive-through COVID-19 testing site will be established starting Monday morning. Patients must be referred by physician/provider. This is provided in coordination with CoxHealth, Mercy, Jordan Valley, and SGCHD pic.twitter.com/F4o9FsCRrt
