Drury has decided to extend its spring break to two weeks because of the coronavirus.

Here’s more from the university:

Drury University announced today that Spring Break, scheduled to begin when classes conclude on Friday, will be extended an additional week in light of the Coronavirus outbreak.

In addition, the campus will be suspending the travel of Drury sports teams during those two weeks with the exception of NCAA championship events that currently underway and Great Lakes Valley Conference championship contests scheduled within the next two weeks.

Drury’s baseball games at Southern Indiana on March 14-15, at Missouri S&T on March 18, and at Quincy on March 20-21 are all canceled.

The change impacts eight games on Drury’s conference schedule.

Drury softball games at Truman State on Saturday, and at Quincy on Sunday are canceled in addition to games at Illinois Springfield on March 21 and Lewis on March 22.

Those were to be the first eight games of Drury’s GLVC schedule.

The NCAA-II Women’s Basketball Midwest Regional is expected to continue as scheduled at the O’Reilly Family Event Center but will not be open to the public as directed by the NCAA.

Should the Lady Panthers advance, they will continue to compete.

The NCAA-II Women’s Elite Eight is scheduled to be in Birmingham, Alabama, March 24-27.

The NCAA-II Swimming & Diving championships started on Wednesday and continue through Saturday in Geneva, Ohio, and the Drury’s men’s and women’s teams are currently competing in that event.

The NCAA-II Wrestling championship starts on Friday and continues Saturday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the Drury has two student-athletes in that competition.

The Drury women’s bowling team is also scheduled to compete in the GLVC bowling championship in Belleville, Illinois March 21-22.
