A celebration in honor of Read Across America in Republic will end with every one of over 2200 elementary students getting an age appropriate book.

ood United Methodist Church says they want to invest in a project to encourage literacy among young students and because of this, put in time and effort with the school to get the money needed to purchase the books.

Every book will include a handwritten note of encouragement for the students to read.

Monday, March 2: Sweeny Elementary, 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Tuesday, March 3: Price Elementary, 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Wednesday, March 4: McCulloch Elementary, 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Thursday, March 5: Lyon Elementary, 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Friday, March 6: Schofield Elementary, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
