Former Monett Substitute Teacher Gets Probation After Sexual Contact With Student

A former Monett substitute teacher has been sentenced to five years of supervised probation after being charged with sexual contact with a student.

Loryn Barclay was originally charged with sexual contact with a student but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of harassment against a person younger than 17.

Barclay was sentenced to three years in prison, but that sentence was suspended in place of the probation.

Court documents show Barclay admitted to the sexual contact that police happened between November 2016 and January 2017.
