The state of Missouri ranks in the top 50% of states for health emergency preparedness in a new study release by a nonpartisan nonprofit organization.
Trust for America’s Health issued a report on February 5th listing Missouri among states with “high” health emergency preparedness, while remaining states received a low or medium rating.
The report was issued near the height of concern about a potential novel coronavirus outbreak in the U. S.
The DHSS says that no cases of the novel coronavirus have been found in the state. DHSS laboratories are equipped to diagnose the specimen as soon as it might be needed.
