Quick Burst Of Snow Leaves Roads Mainly Wet In The Ozarks

Roads across southwest Missouri are mainly wet Tuesday morning after a quick burst of one to three inches of snow fell across areas along and south of I-44 Monday night.

We had just under one inch measured at the National Weather Service in northwest Springfield, with 2.75 inches in Strafford and 2.5 inches in Northview.

Most of the snow accumulations are on grassy surfaces.

The MoDOT Traveler Information Map is listing all roads as mostly clear along and west of Highway 65, and clear in the eastern Ozarks.

Original Story: The Missouri Department of Transportation says most major roads in the KTTS listening area are partly covered by snow.

Roads are completely clear in Douglas and Ozark counties, and on highway 60 east of Mansfield. Most other roads are at least partly covered.

MoDOT says Highway 5 north of Mansfield is covered by snow.
