Springfield wins and loses in an apartment search services rankings, coming in number 7th for the highest rent increases in a year, and also in the top ten for cheapest rent.
A one bedroom apartment in Springfield costs an average of $648, and the apartment search service Adobo says that is up 2.15% from last year, which is only just behind Rochester, New York.
The highest increase in the nation was listed as 7.48% in Detroit, Michigan.
