Senator Roy Blunt blames the House for what he says was a “half-baked” impeachment case.
The longtime Missouri Senator says he thinks it’s a mistake for the House to take impeachment lightly.
In an interview with CBS’s Face the Nation, Blunt said the argument about whether the President is impeached until the articles make it to the Senate is irrelevant.
He also expressed doubt on CBS’s Face the Nation that the Speaker of the House had the power to delay sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has delayed in sending over the articles of impeachment, some have suggested she is doing so to until the opportune moment.
