Missouri State University Security and Springfield Police are increasing their patrols of the University Campus after several muggings that took place in the early morning.
The muggings took place on Cherry and Juanita K and on the corner of Elm and Kimbrough.
The Director of University Safety says to be careful whether you are on or off campus. He says its best to travel with a group of several people at night, and to stay in well-lit, public places.
Springfield Police are investigating the recent muggings to see if they are connected in any way.
