Four people have been taken to local hospitals, one with serious injuries, following a chain-reaction crash involving five vehicles on I-44 in Strafford.
‘The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the wreck happened at 6:01 p.m. Thursday.
Troopers say a car involved in another wreck was stalled in the passing lane when it was hit by another car, pushing it into the path of a semi.
The patrol says the driver of that first car, Kristin Lierz, 25, from Springfield, was transported with serious injuries.
The wreck shut down one lane of westbound traffic for about two hours.
