Missouri State University has been rated one of the safest college campuses by a think tank called A Secure Life.
The think tank recently performed a study analyzing 11 years of crime data on “hundreds” of college campuses.
Missouri State came in 65th of the top 100 college campuses.
This semester, the school has entered a more tight-knit cooperation with the local police to make sure there is a patrol on campus around the clock.
They also have a program available for use by students called “Safe Walk” where if someone feels uncomfortable or uneasy walking alone, they can request a security guard to come and walk with them by calling 417-836-5509.
Missouri University in Columbia and Columbia College were the only other Missouri Colleges ranked in the study.
