A Springfield couple says that they are heartbroken after thieves broke into their house and killed their dog on Friday. The couple says they left their house for ten minutes but caught the whole thing on their security cameras.
The thieves stole a purse and bag with nail care items inside. In the footage, you can see them running from the house with the couple’s dog running after them. When Maranda Mitchell and Hunter Blanton returned home, they found Ginger on the front porch.
She died around five minutes later.
Mitchell and Blanton say that they will miss Ginger, especially her smile and her love of attention. They are asking help from neighbors to locate the thieves in addition to the police report that they filed.
