A total of 3.3 inches of rain fell overnight Thursday morning in Neosho, causing flash flooding to occur.
The 9-1-1 call center says police closed three streets downtown.
There were reports of four inches of water across part of Neosho Boulevard and three inches on High School Branch and the McCord Street areas.
Law enforcement says as of 8:30 a.m., the flooded has receded in much of Neosho and the National Weather Service allowed a flash flood warning to expire.
