A new Missouri law taking effect with 2020 insurance plans will require insurers to cover therapies for Missouri kids with disabilities.
A report from Missourinet says Robyn Schelp of central Missouri’s Columbia, has been a leading advocate of the law because her 11-year-old son, Nathan, has a genetic disorder.
She says the new law will help so many families get physical, occupational and speech therapies for their kids.
The law will cover physical, occupational and speech therapies for kids with disabilities up to age 18 and will take effect with 2020 insurance plans.
