A man shot by Douglas County Authorities was already wanted in Arkansas.
Two deputies served a warrant on a suspect in a trailer home on State Highway 14, 10 miles east of Ava. The man brandished a weapon and then fired a single shot, the deputies returned fire and the man was shot in the arm and taken to the hospital.
Sheriff Chris Degase says that he is frustrated with certain violent criminals being released on bond. He says he hopes the State legislature fixes that problem soon.
