A man in St. Louis said he was horrified on Saturday when he opened the refrigerator of his deceased mother and found the corpse of a baby inside.
Adam Smith says that his mother had kept the frozen box inside the freezer for decades and warned him never to touch the box since. Officers responded on Sunday.
Smith says that he has been distraught since the discovery since he fears the baby may have been his sister. A relative informed him that his mother had once given birth to twins and that one of them had died in childbirth. Smith says that he wonders if he will ever know the truth.
Authorities are now investigating the situation.
