A man is in the Greene County Jail charged with assaulting two deputies in Springfield.
Deputies stopped Brandon Blas on Friday July 19 in the 500 block of west Chestnut.
Blas had stolen license plates on his car and a warrant for his arrest.
When deputies tried to get him out of the vehicle, he stepped on the gas, knocking one deputy down.
His car stalled, and that’s when another deputy tried to get him to stop again.
But authorities say Blas hit the accelerator again, knocking the other deputy down.
Authorities served a warrant at his home on July 24 and took him into custody.
