A man from Independence, MO is dead after a crash on I-44 west of Springfield Monday night.
The Highway Patrol says Larry McQueen, 31, was heading westbound near the 70 mile marker when he went off the right side of the road and hit a rock.
McQueen’s truck flipped and then hit a road sign. He was thrown from the vehicle.
Troopers say he was pronounced dead at the scene just after 11 p.m.
