Hot temperatures will continue to blanket the Ozarks this week.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Kyle Perez says we’ve had quite a few heat outbreaks across the area for the past couple of summers but not for this long in a while.
Perez also says this round of hot weather is sticking around a little longer much similar to the summer of 2012 when he had drought conditions.
The weather service says if you have to be outside during this time to be sure to drink plenty of water but if you don’t have to be outdoors stay indoors.
An excessive heat warning and heat advisory begins Wednesday and runs through Saturday.
