The price to park near Hammons Field for the next Springfield Cardinals Game will be going up.
Contrary to a recent agreement reached with the Cardinals and fans at the beginning of the month to keep parking prices down to 14 dollars, JD Holdings LLC and Plaza Realty & Management Services both will be raising parking fees to 20 dollars.
The Springfield Cardinals do not own, manage, or lease adjacent parking to Hammons Field.
The Springfield Cardinals said they did not agree with the decision and recommended other parking lots, such as Jordan Valley Ice Park for $5 dollars or Price Cutter, which costs $10, and donates all proceeds to local charity.
They also recommended rideshare apps like CarGO.
