A chase through Springfield ended Tuesday afternoon after the driver was arrested after being involved in a hit and run.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office says they got a call about a driver who left the scene of a crash near James River and the West Bypass.
Deputies say the driver eluded officers driving through several yards, hitting mailboxes and yard ornaments near West Mount Vernon and West Bypass.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Deputies say the truck was stolen.
