There’s a chance some of us in the Ozarks may get hit with some severe weather.

Meteorologist Mark Burchfield with the National Weather Service in Springfield says most of the area will remain dry for the rest of the afternoon and early evening.

Burchfield says the primary weather hazards will be locally heavy rainfall, a limited risk for flash flooding for those areas that are remain extremely saturated.

The weather service says Sunday, for the most part, will be similar to today but maybe seeing even less coverage of storms.

There will be multiple rounds of thunderstorms expected across the Ozarks for much of next week.
