People in Diamond City are expressing frustration with Mayor Linda Miracle and the City Council after four town meetings were canceled last minute.
In several cases, City Council members had even showed up along with citizens and were waiting for the meeting to begin before it was canceled. One council member defended the mayor, others did not.
The reason given appears to be ad hoc–that the meeting was not sufficiently posted beforehand. The Town Recorder, Tina Jackson, said that she had posted notices in all the usual places for the canceled meetings.
Footage has surfaced showing the mayor removing bulletins from public places, calling into serious question the plausibility of that excuse.
