UPDATE: The Missouri Highway Patrol reports three died from injuries after a storm hit their home near Golden City. Kenneth G. Harris, 86, Opal P. Harris, 83, and Betty Berg, 56, died.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office says it happened off Highway 126 and State Highway T.
Deputies are working to notify family members.
The area was under a tornado warning when this happened.
The same system developed into a tornado west of Golden City in the Carl Junction area, hitting the Briarbrook area hard.
Authorities say Briarbrook is closed to everyone except emergency personnel because of power lines down and debris in the roadway.
Crews are doing search and rescue operations.
