New Company Plans To Buy, Reopen Teters Floral In Bolivar

A new company planning to take over the former Teters Floral Products has announced it will be re-opening the longtime staple in Bolivar later this year.

With the assistance of hometown developer Warren Davis, Phoenix Décor LLC will be bringing back jobs to the former location of Teters Floral Products Inc.

Former Bolivar resident and hometown supporter, Mr. Davis and Phoenix Décor LLC will finalize the purchase of the former Teters building at 1425 S. Lillian Ave by mid-June.

Phoenix Décor LLC says it will then begin making capital improvements to the existing facility in preparation to manufacture and distribute artificial floral decorations and related décor items.

“Phoenix Décor is planning to begin manufacturing operations by late summer” says Mike Johnson, Phoenix Décor General Manager and Finance Director.

Participating in the Missouri Works incentives program, Phoenix Décor must meet criteria regarding job creation, wages, benefits and initial investment.

“I’m excited to see these new jobs coming to my hometown community,” Governor Mike Parson says.

“My administration has been committed to giving companies the resources they need to succeed and it’s great to see this company utilize our finance tools to make a significant investment in Bolivar.”

Gail Noggle, Executive Director for the Economic Development Alliance, says “We have been working with the Phoenix Décor Management team, the Missouri Department of Economic Development and the City of Bolivar over the past six months to ensure a smooth transition for their anticipated opening.”

“The Bolivar community would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Warren Davis and Phoenix Decor for purchasing the Teters building. We look forward to adding more jobs for our citizens and welcoming our new corporate neighbor,” says City of Bolivar Mayor Chris Warwick.
