UPDATE: The Greene County Commission has scheduled an emergency meeting for the second time this week following severe storms and tornadoes that hit several communities Tuesday night.
This meeting will be centered around debris clean up for areas of the county that don’t already have their own entities to help.
More information will be available after the meeting at 6 p.m. Friday evening.

During an emergency session Thursday night, the Greene County Commission voted to declare a Local Emergency due to the severe weather from Tuesday’s tornadoes.
The Office of Emergency Management is coordinating a volunteer center to help those affected by the storm.
Volunteers will be stationed at the Fellowship Bible Church in Rogersville to help pick up debris.
