A man, who was riding his bike Friday afternoon, was seriously injured after a car hit him in east Springfield.
Police say the accident happened on East Sunshine when the driver of the car tried to stop but couldn’t avoid hitting the bicyclist.
The crash slowed traffic for some time during rush hour.
