Two men wanted for burglary and stolen vehicles are in custody following a police standoff at their home in west Springfield early Wednesday morning.
The incident caused traffic to be shut down on Sunshine between Kansas Expressway and Kansas Avenue in the 4 and 5 a.m. hours.
No one was hurt during the incident.
More than a dozen officers and the Special Response Team responded after a stolen car was found in the back yard of the house.
Police say they hope stolen items found on scene will solve some recent burglary cases.
Traffic re-opened at the intersection in time for the morning rush.
