Governor Mike Parson will be in Springfield Monday for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Parson was chosen as the keynote speaker for the annual teacher appreciation banquet held at the Oasis Convention Center today.

Several hundred people from Springfield Public School and others in the community are expected at the banquet.

The Teacher of the Year Award will also be announced this evening.
