A man in Aurora has been charged in the death of a woman who was shot by police.
Mason Farris, 21, was sentenced to seven years in prison as part of a plea deal.
He was charged with second degree murder and other felonies in the death of 21-year-old Savannah Hill last year.
He pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and the other charges were dropped.
Court documents say Hill called Aurora police to tell them she was with Farris who was on parole.
When police tried to stop the car the two were in, Farris hit an officer and drove off.
Another officer fired a shot at the car and hit Hill.
That officer was cleared of wrongdoing.
