The Greene County medical examiner’s office are working to determine what caused a man to stop breathing while Springfield police officers were arresting him last week.
Police say Wally McCurdy died at the hospital after an officer deployed his Taser during a chase. The chase started after McCurdy was suspected of shoplifting at the Walmart on Glenstone and Kearney in Springfield and took off from officers.
The Greene County medical examiner’s office says they are now waiting for toxicology results to find out what exactly caused his death.
