A State Senator from Battlefield is pushing for a law drastically curtailing state laws that he believes contradict the 2nd Amendment.
Senator Eric Burlison says he does not believe his bill will stop Federal Agents or that it has the power to do so, but he does believe it will make the state no longer party to what he describes as Federal overreach. Burlison’s proposal has been vetoed previously.
He says his bill would nullify any law forbidding the possession and ownership of a firearm, accessory or ammunition by a “law-abiding citizen.”
