The Better Business Bureau is hosting its annual Shred Day event on Saturday at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
They say you can bring your paid bills, bank statements, old tax returns, and anything with your name and address on it. Shredding your older documents is one of the best ways to avoid ID theft.
Tax experts say it is best for you keep tax documents for at least seven years.
The event starts at 8 a.m. and goes until 11:30 a.m.
You are able to shred up to three boxes per person. You can also dispose of old electronics. But the event does not take TV’s.
