Greene County has flipped the switch on its new website that shows you where your taxpayer dollars go.
The financial transparency portal was unveiled on Wednesday.
It allows users to view in real time how much money the county brings in and how much it spends.
Over the last couple of years, County government leaders have been subject to whistleblower complaints and pressure to undergo a state audit.
They hope this new project will make them more transparent.
Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon believes the transparency portal will go a long way in helping re-establish trust in their local government with the citizens of Greene County.
County leaders believe it should save the county about $20,000 a year in data posting and management costs.
