Two firefighters have been treated on scene for minor injuries after falling on ice while fighting flames at a lake house near Branson overnight.
The Southern Stone County Fire Protection District says the broke out around 1 a.m. Tuesday on Lakeview Drive.
Three departments responded to the scene.
A man was able to escape the burning home with his pet birds.
A spokesman says one firefighter may have suffered an ankle injury and the other a hip injury.
The home was heavily damaged, but crews were able to save two nearby structures.
