Springfield Police are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery at a loan agency.
Lieutenant Tony Vienhage tells KTTS News the call came in around 2:30 Saturday afternoon at Ardmore Financial in the 2700 block of West Chestnut Expressway.
Vienhage says the suspect is a white male with a slim build wearing dark clothing. He entered the store with some sort of cover over his face and demanded money from the business.
He was armed with a handgun. The suspect also assaulted a woman by hitting her in the face with the handle of the gun inside the store. Her injuries are not life threatening
The suspect left the scene and went in an unknown direction.
Vienhage says this is an isolated incident.
