February is earthquake awareness month.
Here in Missouri, we have seen some of the strongest earthquakes to ever rock North America. The largest earthquake caused the Mississippi River to flow backwards.
This seismic zone is still active today, with more than 200 small earthquakes happening each year.
Seismologists believe another massive earthquake could hit our region in the near future.
