Bomb threats were sent to dozens of schools, universities and other locations across the country today – all part of an apparent hoax.
At least one school in the Ozarks got a bomb threat.
Superintendent Dr. Karl Janson says Cabool had to evacuate 350 elementary school students after getting an email message.
“It just said that there was a bomb in our workplace. It did not say school.”
Janson says the kids were moved to the FEMA shelter at the school until law enforcement did a bomb sweep and gave the all clear.
Janson says the Highway Patrol told him that Cabool was one of several schools in the state to get the hoax email.
Janson says the school’s I-T department traced the email back to Russia.
