With the wintry mix of snow and rain moving in, MoDOT says crews will be on the roadways putting down salt to prevent slick conditions.
“Crews are out in most of the district treating with chemicals,” says Darrin Hamelink.
He says there are some slick spots after the freezing mist in the area.
Hamelink says during the morning commute be careful on those bridges, overpasses, and elevated areas. Give yourself more time to get to your destination.
Temperatures are expected to be in the lower 20’s overnight with wind chill values in the single digits.
