Dorial Green-Beckham Sentenced To Probation For DWI In Springfield

At a sentencing hearing for Dorial Green-Beckham on Monday, a judge sentenced him to probation and community service for a DWI in Springfield in December 2017.

The judge said the DWI would not be on his permanent record if Green-Beckham completed two years of probation and 60 hours of community service.

Green-Beckham and his lawyer were concerned a harsher sentence would hinder his future career in football.

The wide receiver, who is a former Hillcrest Hornet and now NFL free agent, spent time at Mizzou before playing two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans.

The Springfield News-Leader says the wide receiver was charged with a DWI after he went to pick up a friend at Fort and Sunset who was being processed for driving drunk and had called Green-Beckham to pick him up.

The probable cause statement says a trooper at the scene noticed Green-Beckham also showed signs of being intoxicated.

When tested, his BAC was .147. The legal limit in Missouri is .08.
