Drury University in Springfield marked Veterans Day with a celebration on campus by the flagpole on Burnham Circle just off Drury Lane this morning. Officials say the event included a color guard, and the Drury Singers performing the national anthem. The Alliance for Veterans hosted an all day Veterans 2008 presentation at Plaster Student Union on the campus of Missouri State University The city of Branson honored veterans with a breakfast that included remarks from retired Marine Colonel Oliver North, a downtown parade, and a free concert with singer Tony Orlando at the Welk Resort.
