The State Auditor says the city of Lebanon has been violating wage laws for more than 20 years and now the Department of Labor wants criminal charges filed. State Auditor, Susan Montee, released the findings of her audit of the city in July of 2008. That report showed that temporary workers were paid less than permanent city workers, a violation of the state's prevailing wage law. The law says a city can't be criminally prosecuted, there's no word on whether or not individuals could be charged.
