A new effort will be made next year to require insurance companies to provide coverage for treatment of autism in Missouri. The sponsor of the bill, Senator Scott Rupp of Wentzville, promises to be back with the issue in 2010. He says he thinks insurance companies found some friends in the House after it passed in the Senate. He says he's glad to hear that Governor Nixon might include autism insurance if he calls a special legislative session.
