With a bumper crop of paddlefish this season, anglers will probably have no problem snagging a couple of them. Sunday marked the first day of paddlefish season, and for the first time, the hatchery that helped to produce the fish had double the number to put into Missouri's waters. Officials with the Department of Conservation says everything just fell into place and 260-thousand paddlefish made it to maturity, where in past years the fisheries only had about 70-thousand make it through.
