WEEKEND UPDATE FOR DEC. 1-3

Ok- lets do this- a little over 3 weeks away before Christmas! It's times like this we just need to take a deep breath and slowly let it out.... better? If not maybe one of these fun  activities will help!

FRIDAY

Midtown Victorian Homes Tour is noon to 5pm at 1722 N. National. You can stroll through some of Springfield's finest historic homes all dressed up! Tickets are 10-12 dollars get info at ItsAllDowntown.com

Candy Cane Lane is 5-8 pm at Rutledge Wilson Farm park. Drive through the farm Friday thru Sunday and enjoy the farm themed holiday displays and lights! $5.00 per carload.

Wanna learn out to cook some fun holiday recipes? From 3:30 to 5pm head to Jordan Valley Community Health Center at 440 E. Tampa and pick up some free recipe cards, food staples and cooking demonstrations.

Drive through Nativity is 6-8 pm at the Glendale Christian Church 2110 S. Blackman Road. Enjoy the 11 different scenes about the birth, life death and resurrection of Jesus. Enjoy the free petting zoo and some hot chocolate!  FREE

 Elf Junior the Musical  7:30 pm at the Springfield Little Theater 311 E. Walnut. Tickets $17-23

Family Movie Night at the Library 6:30-8 pm at the Library Center. Make a Grinch-y craft and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while watching "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" FREE

First Friday Art Walk is 5-9 pm at several downtown Springfield venues. Art lovers can enjoy music demonstrations and performances from 28 gallery venues.

SATURDAY

A new thrift shop opens in the old Ethan Allen Furniture building in the Battlefield Mall. The Center will benefit  the Christian Associates which will generate meals for the hungry and protect women and children from domestic violence.

Breakfast with Santa and the Nutcracker 8 am to 9 am at the Battlefield Mall. Tickets in advance $12-15 dollars Get your picture with Santa

Rogersville Christmas Parade begins at the city park at 2pm in Rogersville

Live Nativity at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds 6:30-8:30 FREE

Festival of Lights Exhibition at the Media Com Ice Park is 2-4 pm Enjoy watching Figure Skaters on ice perform. $5.00

RK Gun and Knife Show at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds 9 am to 5pm. Tickets $13.50

Fair Grove Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting at Wommack Mill. Entertainment, cookies and hot cocoa! FREE

Silver Dollar City's Old Time Christmas is open until 10 pm!
